A parent's guide to ABA

At IBI, we recognize the hopes and worries that accompany parenting a child with autism. An autism diagnosis can evoke a range of emotions, from relief to stress, as you navigate the changes in your lives. No matter what you're experiencing as parent, our autism therapy experts are here to support you throughout this journey. Your child's well-being is our primary focus, and we are dedicated to fostering a caring and encouraging environment where they can, grow, and flourish.

What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is all about understanding and improving behaviors that really matter to people and society. When we say "socially significant," we mean behaviors that are important to the child's quality of life. ABA uses proven techniques to make a real difference in people's lives, offering practical strategies to manage, change, and teach new behaviors. It looks at what's happening now and considers past experiences to figure out how behaviors have developed over time. By collecting specific details about what happens before and after behaviors, ABA helps increase the good behaviors and the not-so-great ones.
